PARITY Grant

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: PARITY). PARITY addresses the “structural inertia” of DGs by delivering a transactive flexibility framework that will increase durability and efficiency of the electrical grid, while simultaneously enabling the adoption of more RES through enhanced realtime control of DER Flexibility combined with novel Active Network Management functionalities. PARITY will go beyond the traditional “top-down” grid management practices by delivering a unique local flexibility management platform through the seamless integration of IoT and Blockchain technologies.

HYPERTECH signs a contract with the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission

HYPERTECH, as the leader of a European consortium which also includes E3-Modelling and Global Climate Forum, has signed a contract with the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) of the European Commission. During this 15-month contract, the consortium will analyse and assess the potential risks to EU’s security of energy supply up to year 2050 in view of energy sector integration and clean-energy transition at the EU level.

FLEXIGRID GRANT

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: FLEXIGRID). The main goal of FLEXIGRID is to allow the distribution grid to operate in a secure and stable manner when a large share of variable generation electricity sources is connected to low and medium voltage grids. To do so, FLEXIGRID proposes a three-level approach aiming at Flexibility, Reliability, and Economic Efficiency through the development of innovative hardware and software solutions.

IELECTRIX GRANT

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: IELECTRIX ) focusing on the development and demonstration of of solutions and tools for the optimisation of local energy networks to support a smooth development of Local Energy Communities (LECs) and which have a high replication potential in Europe and in India since allowing additional renewables to generate and distribute electricity at lower costs than a traditional grid reinforcement.

BIMERR GRANT

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: BIMERR). BIMERR will design and develop an ICT-enabled Renovation 4.0 toolkit comprising tools for AEC stakeholder support throughout the energy efficiency renovation process of existing buildings. It will enforce semantic interoperability among its own tools as well as with third-party ICT tools to enable seamless BIM creation and information exchange among the AEC community in an effort to boost the rapid adoption of BIM in renovating of the existing EU building stock.

MERLON GRANT

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: MERLON). MERLON introduces an integrated modular local energy management framework for the holistic operational optimisation of local energy systems in presence of high shares of volatile distributed renewable energy sources. Optimisation in MERLON applies to multiple levels spanning optimal coordination of local generation as well as flexibility provision to facilitate maximum integration of renewable energy, avoidance of curtailment and satisfaction of balancing/ancillary grid needs.

DRIMPAC GRANT

HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: DRIMPAC). The main outcome of DRIMPAC is to develop a comprehensive solution to empower consumers to become active participants in the energy market. DRIMPAC aims to bridge the gap of communication between grid/market and buildings by providing a unique and universal technological framework that facilitates the end-to-end communication of the necessary information for the discovery and delivery of demand flexibility.
